Asian Academy of Film And Television on the opening of its 69th batch organized an exhibition of paintings by a well known and award winning artist from Orissa Tapan Dash at Marwah studios campus to promote art with the students of film, television and media.
“Painting is the beginning of all arts, it develops a sense of colours and its use” said Sandeep Marwah President of Marwah Studios and Director AAFT. “We believe the student of film, television and media must understand the importance of other fine arts in life to grow as a matured media person” Marwah added.
“I am impressed by the amalgamation of fine arts with the art of cinema at AAFT. It is not only necessary but essential for media person to have vast knowledge of different subjects” said Asit Mittal a social worker, builder, film maker and Governor of Rotary International while inaugurating the exhibition.
Giving the example of his own daughter ms khanna who is the alumnus of the institute Anoop Khanna a social worker expressed that the education at AAFT is complete in all senses. Dr. Patnaik a renowned Optician and surgeon offered a special discount to the media students for any eye checkups.
Tapan Dash explained to all the purpose, need and style of his colorful paintings speaking out of the walls. Others who spoke on the occasion were dean AAFT and Satish Anand dean ASPA paid vote of thanks.
