The star of box office super hit ‘Sirf Tum’ Sanjay Kapoor was the chief guest of the function held at the Marwah Studios Complex in the film city to inaugurate the silver session of the Asian Academy of film & Television. Welcoming the film star, Director of the academy Prof. Sandeep Marwah mentioned that the academy has been successfully conducting training in the art & Craft of film making & television production for the last six years and it has been widely acclaimed as the best alternative to the formal film and television schools. A mention was made also of the fact that the pioneering work done by the academy has been commended by All India Achievers Conference. This organisaiton has chosen Prof. Sandeep Marwah for the Achievers of the Millenium award for his significant contribution to the field of film & television training and for emerging as a role model worthy of emulation by others. The other receipient of this award are noted film star Devanand, popular film & television artiste Shekhar Suman, film director Sanjay Khan, former Miss Femina Manpreet Brar, former supercop KPS Gill, famous cricketer Kapil Dev and deputy speaker of Lok Sabha P.M. Sayeed. Addressing the trainees of the silver batch of Asian Academy of Film & Television, Sanjay Kapoor said that hardwork and dedication are the key to success in all areas of filmmaking. He said that systematic training helps develop skills and the necessary self-confidence. He advised the film professionals including the artistes to behave like a normal person and to lead the life like a common-man. He advised the trainees never to feel diffident if success does not come their way and continue to strive for achieving success in their work. He mentioned that successful artistes like Devanand and Raj Kapoor were sources of inspiration to him. Replying to a question he said that film industry is not a big-bad world and it is a wonderful outlet for the creative people. Present on this occasion were stage artiste Sanjay Malik, Bhushan Kandhari of Punjabi Kala Sangam, lyricist Sudhakar Sharmaa and the veteran media personality Om Prakash Katyal.
